Executive Summary :

Objective: Unravelling how spermidine over-accumulation in the Salmonella AspeG strain blocks intracellular replication; Showing the link between spermidine over-accumulation and superoxide production in the pathogens; Demonstrating how spermidine over-accumulation affects iron-sulfur cluster biogenesis in pathogen; Assessing the advantages or disadvantages of superoxide production and skewed iron homeostasis under spermidine stress in the pathogenesis of Shigella and Staphylococcus.
