Executive Summary :

Floods are becoming more frequent and severe due to climate change, urbanization, and land use changes. These factors increase the likelihood of heavy rainfall events and impermeable surfaces. To mitigate flood impacts, early warning systems, disaster preparedness measures, and infrastructure improvements are crucial. This research aims to monitor flood events in arid regions using remote sensing data and AI analysis, focusing on India and Israel, where floods significantly impact local communities and ecosystems.
