Details
Executive Summary : | The goal of this proposal is to devise potent small molecule inhibitors against SARS-CoV-2 RNA-dependant RNA polymerase (RdRp) based on the quinoline scaffold for COVID-19 treatment. |
Outcome/Output: | Quinolines-based heterocyclic molecules composed of fused benzene and pyridine rings was synthesised, which have shown to display strong antiviral properties against various viral pathogens. Finally, using in silico tools for drug discovery and molecular modeling, the docking score, free binding energies and key interactions between the ligands and the RdRp in comparision with Remdesivir were evidenced. |
