Australia
For promoting global partnership, CSIR signed a MOU with
CSIRO, Australia for joint research activities in the areas of mutual interest, in July 2008. As a part of the agreement, jointly funded research partnership activities included following areas of research:
• Energy & Environment
• Biotechnology including Genomics
• Health Research
• Materials Science
• Chemical Process Technology
China
Taking forward billateral cooperation in the area of science and technology, CSIR and Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China signed a Memorandum of Understanding in October 2009. Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) is the largest public funded R&D organization in the world. The MoU envisages research partnerships through exchange of information, joint workshops, and joint research projects with IP and cost sharing.
Malaysia
The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) and Special Innovation Unit (UNIK) of Prime Minister’s Department of Malaysia entered into a cooperative agreement in the area of research & development, innovation and commercialization of technology in October, 2010.
