Centre of Excellence in Climate Modelling (CECM), New Delhi

The Centre of Excellence (CoE) in climate modeling is a major initiative taken at IIT Delhi and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to develop an India-Centric Climate Model (ICCM) to address certain pressing issues of climate change in India, and to educate manpower in numerical modeling of the Earth system and climate.

Centre for Research on Environment and Sustainable Technologies (CREST), Bhopal

The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, established Center for Research on Environment and Sustainable Technologies (CREST) at IISER Bhopal as a Centre of Excellence (CoE) with major objective of building a structure that eventually helps in understanding the interactions between air, water, and earth mega systems on several scales ranging from local to global. The CoE has a mission to carry on multidisciplinary research and training in clean environment (air, water, and land), and sustainable development as thrust areas.

Aryabhatta Geo-informatics & Space Application Centre (AGiSAC) is to bring geo-information for the benefit of people and sustainable development. o facilitate decentralized planning and decision making. It helps to facilitate Monitoring and Evaluation of Government Schemes & Programmes and to set up integrated natural resources data management system. Along with it AGiSAC is providing services/consultancy based on specific user needs in the field of Remote Sensing and GIS and wider usage of geo-spatial applications through simultaneous support systems/ software.
