Titanium Substrate Insoluble Anodes

Titanium Substrate Insoluble Anodes (TSIA) developed at CECRI Karaikudi were being extensively used by chlor-alkali and chlorate industry for reducing power consumption. The Corporation licensed the process to M/s Titanium Equipment and Anode Manufacturing Company (TEAM) with equity participation of the Corporation. The process was subsequently licensed to M/s WIMCO and M/s BHPV. These companies has supplied a large number of chlor-alkali industry resulting a very power saving in their manufacturing. The Corporation earned a technology fee of Rs.15 lakhs and royalty of Rs.2.25 crores approximately.
