More particularly, the present invention relates to synthesis of novel dibromodiphenyl ether starting from Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL); a renewable resource material. The present invention particularly relates to novel 1-bromo-4-(4'-bromophenoxy)-2-pentadecylbenzene and to a method for its preparation.
