IN322221: Zero wastewater discharge process for pretanning operations in leather manufacture

Disclosed in the invention is that the waste streams from soaking, liming, deliming including washing prior and after deliming and pickling are segregated and screened for removing gross solids. They are treated by electro-oxidation with or without UV treatment. The treated sectional streams are reused appropriately taking into account the hydraulic load and pollution load from each unit process, and process system. The reuse can be carried out continuously to attain zero wastewater discharge.
