A process for preparation of cellulose fractions

The invention relates to a process for preparation of cellulose fractions. In the process fractionation of cellulose into different molecular weight fractions is carried out by dissolving cellulose in lithium chloride/N,N-dimethyl acetamide solvent system and using water as a non solvent for regeneration of different molecular weight fractions and the different molecular weight fractions of cellulose.
