Executive Summary :

Knowledge on the diversity and distribution of bacteria in the gut of economically important fish species, Generation of culturable of fish gut associated bacterial collection, Novelty in bacteria strain and possible patenting, exploring promising probiotic bacterial cultures for aquaculture applications, The fish-gut bacterial strains to be isolated in this study will be maintained in the in house, actinobacterial consortium along with 400 strains already available in our centre. These strains will be utilized as a repository for other bioprospecting applications such as antimicrobial, anticancer drug discovery, agricultural, environmental and nanotechnological applications by the students, faculties, scholars and Scientists from our University
