Objective: These awards aim to recognise and reward excellence in original research work in the fields of medical and pharmaceutical sciences by Indian scientists in India and abroad and to encourage the scientists to promote the scientific endeavors in the country.
Criteria: (1) Indian nationals and non residents Indians working in India or abroad are eligible for the award. (2) a candidate who has already received a major award for a particular research work is not eligible for the grant of the award. (3) the research work should be original and should be sponsored by the Head of the Institution.
