Objective: With a view to encourage members in undertaking indigenous research and development and thus contributing to import substitution the technical and R&D committee of the association with the concurrence of the Executive Council founded this Technical Awards Scheme.

Criteria: All members of the Association are qualified to apply for the awards. They have to submit details with supporting documents in the prescribed application form. A representative of the contestant is permitted to give more details on the development through sides video or otherwise at the time of scrutinising of nominations. The Technical Awards Committee members have the right to visit the plant of the contestant to verify the actual developments reported in the nomination. The decision of the Technical Awards Committee would be final.
