All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna is being developed as not only an excellent Centre of Learning but is also being established for the delivery of quality healthcare services. The main objectives of the Institute priorities are to develop a pattern of teaching in undergraduate and postgraduate education to demonstrate high standard of medical education for all medical colleges and other allied institutions in India, to bring educational facilities of the highest order together in one place for the training of the personnel in all important branches of the health activity, and to attain self-sufficiency in postgraduate medical education.
