Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar admits students into B. Tech, M. Tech and Ph.D. programs. IIT Bhubaneswar is the first IIT to set up a separate marine campus for conducting research in rising sea levels, ecology, disaster management, marine ecosystems, fishery development, and other areas. This campus, which is a part of the School of Earth, Ocean and Environment Sciences, is being set up near Chilka lake. During the year 2016-17, more than 200 papers were published in journals while more than 100 papers were accepted in conferences.
