Executive Summary :

The proposal aims to utilize a coupled chemical-optical characterization approach to link bulk optical properties and climate effects of BrC with chromophoric composition, potential sources, and the nature of atmospheric processing. The primary importance of the proposed project lies in the fact that it aims to generate the first field-based measurements of BrC, HULIS and NAC optical parameters under a wide range of emission and atmospheric conditions in the Himalayas.
