Executive Summary : | This proposal aims to design a meta-surface RF window for W-band TWT using a CST microwave studio and HFSS. The thermal analysis and power handling capacity of the meta-surface RF window will be conducted. The RF window will be fabricated and integrated with a demountable flange assembly, with cold testing conducted. The operating bandwidth of the meta-surface window can be extended nearly twice compared to others. The proposal also suggests research on folded waveguide interaction structures to enhance performance capabilities. As devices shrink in size from microwave to terahertz frequency regimes, thermal management becomes a challenge. Thermo-mechanical analysis of the meta-surface RF window will be conducted. |
