Executive Summary :

Cloud computing is crucial for sharing information and services, but ensuring secure and efficient access to resources is essential. The Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) model has been used for sharing and accessing data, but it exposes sensitive information, compromising user privacy. This research project aims to explore privacy preserving techniques with secure policy engineering for the ABAC model, ensuring safe access to resources in dynamic environments. This combination of privacy preserving, anonymous access, and machine learning-based policy engineering addresses emerging threats and contributes to a more resilient security posture.

The project aims to implement the basic Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC) framework and the Homomorphic Attribute Based Signature (HABS) algorithm to achieve anonymity. The proposed ABAC extends the ABAC model, incorporating privacy requirements and enhancing its identity-less nature. The proposed model includes an anonymous access module, privacy aware module, and policy engineering module. The project will be implemented in four stages, with each submodule implemented separately. The results will be compared for privacy-preserving anonymous access validation. The project also includes a study report on various techniques used for policy engineering in ABAC policies.
