Executive Summary : | The government of INDIA has established a National Logistics Policy (NLP) 2022 in an effort to create a speedy, cost-effective, sustainable, and robust last mile delivery eco system in the country for accelerated and inclusive growth. Complete secure digitalization is required in-order to do this, as well as maximize the use and reduced cargo dwell times with safety. According to the NCRB annual report (The ET News, 26th Feb 2022), road safety continues to be one of the major concerns that contributes to accidental deaths and injuries worldwide, killing more than 1.35 million people. Even in INDIA, there were approximately 1,33,201 fatal road accidents in the year 2020. In 2019, the total number of reported road accidents stood at 4,21,104, resulting in the accidental deaths of 1,51,113 people, an average of 414 a day or 17 an hour, according to a report by the transport research wing of the ministry of road transport and highways. To understand the depth of the number of mortalities caused by road accidents in India, it would perhaps help to compare them with the natural global health disaster of our times, the COVID-19 pandemic. since March 2019, the deadly Corona virus has claimed around 1.55 Lakhs lives in India. A similar number died in Indian road accidents in 2019 alone. Critical factors for these accidental deaths are when emergency high mobility services are unable to reach these accident victims on time due to high traffic congestions and no proper priority traffic signal intersections for the paramedical ambulance and emergency services. These factors can be addressed with the new 5G mmWave services in INDIA. The 5G services would be introduced in India as early as October 12th this year, according to a recent statement by Union IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The Relay assisted mmBS 5G NR-V2X based intelligent traffic management system using deep learning algorithms has high capabilities, robustness which can create a more reliable environment and can help in saving numerous precious lives. So, in this proposal a unique interface software module assisting 5G NR V2X services is proposed to assure road safety, maximise the use of logistic services, and address infrastructure difficulties, including last mile connectivity gaps. The key parameter to be considered is the spectral efficiency, low latency related to wireless data traffic. In V2X MIMO systems, Space is used as a valuable additional resource in addition to frequency, time and code division schemes which can be used to improve the quality and capacity of system. It will improve the Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle to pedestrian (V2P) and Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I) communication quality i.e. to help more vehicles to exchange data within shorter periods by reducing the transmission errors (high reliability) in congested traffic environments. Also, it is proposed to investigate the Low rank based channel estimation under congested traffic environments |
