Executive Summary : | The study aims to study depression and anxiety in university students, evaluate the association between depression and anxiety using biochemical and neuronal electrical activity parameters, and provide holistic psychological intervention to those diagnosed with these conditions. Students will be enrolled in a systemic and structured approach, using the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) to measure various parameters. The study will be conducted using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5) and will involve 500-1000 students. Students will be divided into three groups: depression, anxiety, and control. Blood samples will be collected for biochemical analysis, cytokine profiling, and ELISA assay. Neuronal activity will be studied using highly sensitive electroencephalography, and students diagnosed with depression and anxiety will undergo therapy sessions. The study also aims to provide holistic psychological intervention to students, including mindfulness meditation and cognitive behavioral therapy. The goal is to gain a better understanding of these disorders and their molecular signatures associated with therapeutic interventions. |
