Executive Summary :

The lack of education and unskilled workforce of CHWs is well known. Key challenges are insufficient training, non-engaging and ineffective methods, passive learning and no feedback on their learning. This project will design and develop mobile phone based interactive training modules using advances of interaction technologies, driven by virtual and augmented reality and multimodal interfaces. The objective is to train CHWs about important health indicators, which are engaging, expressive, easy to remember and have lasting memory. It will also develop a technology tool for administrators to self-create, update and distribute the training modules without any technical knowhow and support. This will result in easy and quick scalability of interactive training services across CHWs.
