Executive Summary :

The project aims to develop multiferroic perovskite-based nanostructures for electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding and photovoltaic applications. The research focuses on fabricating pure and doped transition metal ions/rare-earth metals BiFeO3 nanostructures and BiFeO3 heterostructures for PV applications. The aim is to mitigate the adverse effects of EMI emitted from photovoltaic PV devices used in residential solar panels. The Indian and Serbian groups will use their combined expertise in synthesis and characterization techniques to produce novel BiFeO3 nanostructures/composites with well-controlled and highly homogeneous properties. The project aims to mobilize human resources in solar cell technology research through education and training activities, attracting attention from the industrial research and development sector.

The project aims to stimulate the creation and training of scientific and technical staff in solar cell technologies by collaborating with two research institutions. The project will focus on fabricating and analyzing PV and EMI-shielding properties of multiferroic pure and doped BiFeO3 nanoscaled materials with related heterostructured polymer composites. The collaboration will involve study visits, practical and theoretical training, and strong interaction between senior scientists. The project will also apply for joint patents and industrial partnerships for commercialization of products.
