Executive Summary :

Objective: Identification of sclerostin-derived peptides with the ability to inhibit the Wntsignaling pathway and characterization of their bone-growth inhibiting properties b) To examine in vivo activity of such peptides for investigating their efficacy in an osteoarthritis animal model c) To identify sclerostin-derived peptides as its inhibitors d) To characterize if these sclerostin-inhibitors can induce bone growth/formation in vitro experiments e) To examine if these sclerostin-inhibitors can induce both growth/formation in vivo animal model f) Understanding the mode of action and structural studies on these sclerostin-mimetic and sclerostin-inhibitory peptides g) PK, stability studies and regulatory (IND-enabling) studies of the lead peptides.
