Executive Summary :

The analysis was done for two age groups i.e. 6-35 months and 36-59 months and as well as combined for 6-59 mo. The results revealed that it would be appropriate to give one single cut off hence <-13.4 cm cut off of MUAC for the age group of 6-59 months is recommended as it would be operationally feasible and practical in the field application

Outcome/Output:

In view potential public health utility of the MUAC for diagnosis of AM children, it is recommended that the MUAC should be validated against body composition in different regions of the World.
