G20 Digital Innovation Alliance
India has embarked upon an ambitious journey by taking over the G20 presidency. As part of the effort, the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has launched G20 Digital Innovation Alliance (G20-DIA) to showcase innovative solutions and create an alliance of innovation ecosystem players, including startups, investors, mentors, and institutions who are building digital public goods/innovations for the betterment of economies and the upliftment of societies.
MeitY has chosen six themes which are of critical significance for global communities. The themes are mentioned below, under which G20 member states and non-member invited countries will curate the startup solutions. The underlying principle of proposed startup solutions will address the need for inclusive, accessible, affordable, sustainable, and transformative impact.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. Participating teams must be mandatorily registered as Companies/ startups/ MSMEs/ LLPs to apply for the G20-DIA.
2. The entity must have 51% or more shareholding with an Indian citizen or person of Indian origin and should be domiciled in India.
3. The applicant’s entity should not be a subsidiary company of any foreign corporation.
As part of the G20-Digital Innovation Alliance, MeitY is launching a series of events, expert sessions, webinars, capacity building workshops around the six selected themes to ensure fruitful and constructive engagement of innovators, entrepreneurs, startups, corporates, investors, mentors etc. The G20-DIA will unite the global innovation ecosystems in recognising and supporting startups developing innovative digital solutions that reduce the digital divide among segments of humanity and boost the global economy.
Startups from G20 nations and nine guest nations across these six sectors will participate in this global program. One hundred seventy-four startups will be engaged, celebrated, showcased, and supported under this program worldwide. Market access, corporate connect, investor connect, skilling, and networking sessions will be conducted as part of the program.
The program will culminate in a 3-day Grand Summit in Bangalore in August 2023, where 174 selected startups and hundreds of investors and stakeholders.
