Norway

ESSO-MoES, India through a cluster of organizations under its umbrella, conducts research in the various fields of earth system science and translate the same into societal benefit. In order to undertake research in frontier areas having larger societal relevance like monsoon research and climate change, earthquake hazards, polar research and various other fields of Earth System Science which have a direct socio-economic impact on society, ESSO-MoES regularly engages with various international organizations for collaborative research activities which are mutually beneficial.

UK

The Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), UK and the Earth System Science Organization, Ministry of Earth Sciences of the Republic of India (ESSO-MoES) have agreed upon a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to facilitate scientific cooperation in the area of  earth system science and environmental research.

Korea

Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA), Republic of Korea signed an Agreement of Cooperation (MOU) in  September 2010 in the field of Earth Sciences and Services. The main objective of the Agreement is to enable in-depth understanding and joint development of skillful forecasting capabilities of various weather and climate related phenomena as  India and Korea share similar weather conditions and atmospheric phenomena.

USA

Recognizing the importance of scientific and technical cooperation in Earth Observations and Earth Sciences, a MoU was signed between Govt. of India and NOAA, on behalf of US Government in April 2008. The MoU is an enabling mechanism for undertaking joint activities to use the combined scientific and technical skills in enhancing the observations of the Earth and use the information most effectively for the benefit of the society.
