MeitY-NASSCOM Startup Women Entrepreneur Award

MeitY Start-up Hub (MSH) has been setup in the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY). MSH act as a national coordination, facilitation and monitoring centre that will integrate all the incubation centres, start-ups and innovation related activities of MeitY. The Government of India has been assigning increasing importance to the development of women entrepreneurs in the country in recent years. Women Entrepreneur Awards is a remarkable mission to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit of women in India.

Dr. M.S. Swaminathan Award for Leadership in Agriculture

This Award is a lifetime achievement award given every year to eminent persons who have made great impact and outstanding contributions to agricultural research and development and for overall food security and sustainability of agriculture, with special reference to India. The award is open to all, irrespective of his/her nationality. This prestigious Award was instituted in 2004 in the honour of Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, a great visionary and crusader, and the main architect of India's Green Revolution. The Award consists of a plaque of honour, citation, shawl and memento.

Sun Pharma Science Scholar Awards

These Awards are presented to brilliant and upcoming young researchers with the aim of discovering and promoting young talent in scientific research. The goal is to stimulate young minds to pursue research as a career by soliciting commitment to the cause of future advancement of science. These young scientists are called Sun Pharma Science Scholars. Each award carries a certificate and a cash award of Rs. 50,000/-.

Sun Pharma Research Awards

The Foundation recognizes and rewards excellence in original research work and exemplary contribution in Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. These awards are recognised as being among the top-line research awards in India and presented annually to Indian scientists working in India or abroad. Every year, 4 awards are given: 3 in the Medical Sciences (one each in Basic, Medical and Clinical Research) and 1 in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Each award carries a trophy, citation and a cash award of Rs. 2 Lakh.

Streeshakti Science Award

This award honours a woman scientist who has provided an original contribution to Science in India, with research of high quality which is relevant and beneficial to society. The research work must have been done in India in the period of last 5 yrs. It accords recognition to innovative and high quality research and work, that must benefit societal needs. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 51,000/- and a citation.

Infosys Prize

The Infosys Prize is an endeavour to elevate the prestige of science and research in India and inspire young Indians to choose a vocation in research. This award is given annually to honour outstanding achievements of contemporary researchers and scientists across 6 categories: Engineering and Computer Sciences, Humanities, Life-, Mathematical-, Physical- and Social Sciences. Each prize consists of a gold medal, a citation and a purse of Rs. 65 Lakh. The award intends to celebrate success in research and stand as a marker of excellence in these fields.

Gujar Mal Modi Award for Science & Technology

This award is to acknowledge and reward excellence in research and development and outstanding contribution to Innovative Science & Technology in India. The award consists of a cash prize of Rs 2.01 Lakh, a scroll of honour and a silver shield. The Award, instituted in 1988, is presented on the 9th of August every year, the birth anniversary of Rai Bahadur Gujar Mal Modi, one of the great industrialists of India and Founder of the Modi Group.
