Brief Description
Description : | Montmorillonite is one of the most intensively explored catalytic materials in heterogeneous catalysis due to its low cost and eco-friendliness. Montmorillonite is highly valued for their sorptive and catalytic properties that result from their high surface area and acidity. These properties may be enhanced with acid activation, which increases the surface area, modifies the surface acidity, bleaching capacity and decrease the Cation Exchange Capacity (CEC). Activated montmorillonite can be widely applied in food industry, mineral oil industry, beverage and sugar industry, chemical industry, environment protection, paper industry as well as cleaning and as detergents. |
