Title: | Novel Inexpensive Membrane System as Import Substitute for Production of Demineralized Sterile Water |
Focus Area: | Production of Demineralized Sterile Water |
Social Benefits: | The process is more economical and costs Rs. 80,000/- for lab system (40-60 L/h) Rs. 2.5 lakh for pilot plant (500 L/h) Maintenance free compared to multinational companies that charge Rs. 1 lakh per annum, Compared to conventional separation methods, the technology utilizes very less energy as the process design doesn't include energy intensive processes such as distillation or evaporation. No additional chemical regeneration required as the technology replaces use of ion exchange resins |
