Brief Description
Description : | The project focuses on the development of self-destructing polymers in "cloaked" components that do not come into direct contact with the Low Earth Orbit (LEO) atmosphere . Two classes of polymer backbones will be studied. The first class of polymers are those with low ceiling temperatures or Tc, which is the temperature at which the polymer is in equilibrium with its monomeric units .The second class of polymers are conducting polymers incorporated with self-degrading imine spacer units . |
