Executive Summary :

This project aims to model the life cycle of bioaerosol inside drops and bubbles. During droplet impact on solid and liquid surface, the droplet may break into multiple secondary drops if the impact velocity is high. The bioaerosols inside the drop then spreads into atmosphere. In some scenario a layer of drop in a solid surface evaporates and the bioaerosol inside it either sticks to the surface or moves to the surrounding. In bubble bursting through liquid layer, there are multiple liquid aerosol formation which again mixes with the environment. Depending on the harmfulness of the bioaerosol it is important to understand this life cycle inside drop and bubble and how it transfers to the atmosphere. This dispersion of bioaerosols can subsequently lead to disease transmission. It will be modeled like particles/surfactants with more specific properties added to mimic bioaerosol properties.
