Waterfuture Conference - Towards a Sustainable Water Future

The conference focuses to address the current state of global water resource challenges, future pathways and scenarios, and different technological, institutional solutions to accelerate the implementation of water-related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda targets with an aim of 'leaving no one behind'. The conference aims for opening new frontiers in water system diagnostics and innovative solutions to mitigate the 21st-century global water crisis.

International Symposium on Advances in Coastal Research with special reference to Indo Pacific- 2019 (AdCoRe IP-2019)

The theme of the conference is on coastal research advances. The symposium is aimed to attract the global scientific experts, academician, researchers and policy makers onto the common platform of collaborating in the area of global challenges facing coastal regions worldwide. Outcome of the symposium will be useful to better understand the common coastal issues of concern, enhance regional co-operation, devise unique strategies and fine tune national policies across the Indo Pacific region.

UK-India Newton-Bhabha Fund RSC Researcher Links Workshop on Challenges of TB

The workshop on the ‘Challenges of TB’ focuses on drug resistance in India and shared inter-disciplinary solutions. In order to eliminate TB globally, we need to understand the challenges in India, share solutions, and coordinate research efforts across clinical, epidemiological, implementation, health systems, and social sciences.

Observational Astronomy

The focus of the training will be on hand on experience on observational Astronomy using 1m-ARIES telescope. The topics covered at the school include: telescopes, Star Formation and evolution, circumstellar matter radiative Processes, and techniques of photometry, spectroscopy, as well as Galactic and Extra-galactic Astronomy.

Biotechnology & Intellectual Property Law

This course aims to teach IPR, with a special focus on patents. Also, it will look at the importance of patents in the world of biotechnology and what can be actually patented. At what stage protection of invention/research should be initiated and what can be the long term benefits, how IPR is helpful for entrepreneurship,
all these question will be addressed in this course. The course will also shed light on working of patents and enable the participants to assess whether their research should be protected or not.

Organising Conferences, Workshops, Seminars In Colleges

The basic objective of the scheme is to bring together academicians and
experts from different parts of the country and abroad to exchange
knowledge and ideas. Financial assistance under the scheme is available to all Colleges, which come under the purview of Section 2(f) and are fit to receive central assistance under Section 12B of the UGC Act, 1956.
