Anaesthesia Review Course’19 (ARC’19)
This course is designed for the exam going postgraduate students as a revision of the core syllabus of the anaesthesiology examination. The overwhelming response from students from all over the country over the past fifteen years has encouraged us to keep going. The course this year, the 16th year running, ARC 19, will be held from 12 – 14 April 2019. The venue will be the Rustom Chowksi Auditorium, Golden Jubilee Block, Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai.
Head & Neck Rehabilitation: Speech and Swallowing Certificate Course ( Langmore FEES & Laryngectomy Rehabilitation Course)
The Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) was developed by Dr. Susan Langmore in 1988. Alongside the modified barium swallow (MBS) study, FEES has become a globally recognized gold standard for evaluating oropharyngeal dysphagia and for assessing swallowing function. This course provides surgeons and speech pathologists with 2 day lecture and hands-on practice. The lecture component covers normal physiology, indications, scoring, interpretation, use of endoscopy for treatment and program establishment.
Group Algebras, Representations and Computation
The focus of this program is on theoretical aspects of group algebras and representation theory of finite and profinite groups complemented by computational techniques using discrete algebra system GAP.
Cauchy-Riemann Equations in Higher Dimensions
The program covers the basics of the theory through lectures, collaborative problem sessions and presentations. Applications of complex analysis and L2 methods to other areas of mathematics will be especially emphasized. This program will be of interest to researchers working in the areas of Complex Analysis, Complex Geometry (both Algebraic and Differential), Partial Differential Equations, Operator Theory, etc.
Preparatory School on Population Genetics and Evolution (PGE 2019)
PGE 2019 will be an intensive one-week course, scheduled an year before the Main School on the same subject in 2020. Together, the program aims to develop an interest and understanding of population genetics and evolution among students from diverse backgrounds, including biology, computer science, mathematics, medicine and physics.
Universality in random structures: Interfaces, Matrices, Sandpiles
This program aims to bring together leading researchers in these areas from all over the world for a discussion on recent progress and remaining challenges.
Cosmology - The Next Decade
The workshop will bring together a larger number of working scientists for an advanced discussion of the latest developments in these and related areas. In addition, as part of the workshop, there will be one day (a Survey Day) reserved for detailed discussion on current and upcoming large scale structure and CMB experiments, especially keeping mind core Indian involvement to specific missions and surveys.
