Description : | The device is useful for separation of fish bone and meat from different varieties of fish. Separation of meat from bone obtained by using the device is consistent and is obtained in a continuous manner. The separated meat which is free from bone, will have application in preparation of several fish meat based food nproducts. The device is therefore useful for continuous separation of fish bone and meat. Basic principle involved is to compress the whole dressed fish between the moving belt and a rotating perforated drum, so that the soft flesh of the fish is squeezed/pushed inside the perforated drum through the perforations provided on the periphery and the perforations are drilled through the thickness of the rotating drum. A moving conveyor belt is supported by a set of rollers namely: a drive roller (perforated drum) and a driven roller. The moving conveyor belt is used for carrying the dressed fish to the compression zone. The moving conveyor belt wraps part/half of the drums perimeter, leaving the other half free for fish intake and discharge the waste. The belt is powered by a geared electric motor and has provision for varying the speed of the drum surface providing the necessary compression.
